Bongaree Caravan Park

Bongaree foreshore

The Bongaree Caravan Park is on the western side of Bribie Island, on the Pumicestone Passage. Close to the beach, it has water views and is within easy reach of everything you need for a coastal holiday.

The park’s accommodation options include camping, caravans, holiday cabins, and cottages. It has modern facilities, including a camp kitchen, barbeques, hot showers, and toilets. There are shops, cafés, and restaurants within walking distance, and a bowls club next door.

There are many things to do in Bongaree. Enjoy spectacular views of the Glasshouse Mountains across the Pumicestone Passage. Learn about local history at the Bribie Island Seaside Museum, or travel by 4-wheel drive to Fort Bribie on Woorim Beach.

Birdwatchers can spend an afternoon observing migratory shorebirds at Buckleys Hole Conservation Park. Cool off with a swim in the calm waters of the passage, or wander along the foreshore pathways. You might spot a dolphin, dugong, or even a sea turtle!

Fishing enthusiasts will find great spots along the shore. Visitors can access the Bongaree public boat ramp. Boats can also be moored short-term at Bribie Island Jetty.

Generators and open fires are not permitted.
