Donnybrook, a small coastal town, began as a little fishing community. It offers a peaceful seaside getaway where you can watch the sunrise over the Pumicestone Passage.

In the 1880s, the area had rich oyster beds, and the Moreton Bay Oyster Company established a depot there. Although the oyster beds declined in the 1940s, the town's charm remains.

The park has modern facilities and spectacular views of Bribie Island. Across the road, you will find a general store and post office. There is also a takeaway next door.

There are plenty of things to do in Donnybrook. Fishing is popular, with anglers often seen catching bream, whiting and flathead. Visitors can also access the Donnybrook public boat ramp. Launch your boat, kayak or paddleboard and head out into the picturesque passage for a relaxing or fun-filled day on the water.  

Discover the area's natural beauty, with many hiking trails suitable for all fitness levels. The trails are a short drive away at the Bullock Creek Conservation Park and Glasshouse Mountains.

Return to the park in the afternoon and enjoy a barbeque, or head to the local bowls club for a meal.
