Deception Bay Community Hall - Kitchen

Conveniently located close to public transport the Deception Bay Community hall is a newly constructed district level complex suitable for a diverse range of activities. Positioned beside playgrounds and open space this modern hall provides hirers a range of options for use.

Kitchen

Part of the Deception Bay Community Hall complex, the kitchen can be booked individually for events in the parkland or with any other room in the venue. The kitchen has a commercial oven, stove and dishwasher as well as double glass door fridge and stand alone freezer.

There is onsite and street parking which also includes accessible parking bays near the main entrance. Please note that there maybe parking restrictions in place.

The venue is a self-service model: all hirers are responsible for set-up, pack-down and cleaning of the venue before the conclusion of hire.

The facility is available for hire between the hours of 6:00 AM and 12:00 AM (midnight).

Capacity

The Kitchen has a capacity of 4 people.

Accessibility

The venue is accessible by wheelchair from the car park accessed from Raymond Terrace, which includes 2 allocated disability access parking bays.

The internal toilets are also wheelchair accessible with a designated disability access toilet off the foyer. Ambulant toilets are located in both the male and female toilets.

Please inspect the venue prior to booking to ensure the facility meets your accessibility requirements.

Bookings

Deception Bay Neighbourhood Centre manage the Deception Bay Community Hall on behalf of Council. The venue is available for hire between 6:00 AM to 12:00 AM (midnight).

Regular hire is available at this facility. A regular hirer is an individual or organisation that has bookings on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis.

Please note the following:

booking requests are required at least one week prior to the requested hire date
a minimum of one hour hire applies to all bookings
Council may charge a refundable security bond to cover potential damage to the facility during hire.

How to book

1. Check availability and complete the online booking request.

2. Review site induction program and complete registration. Note the reference number provided. You will need this number to complete your application.

All hirers are required to complete an online venue induction prior to their booking. Inductions are current for 12 months.

Restrictions

Hirers are not permitted to sleep in the venue overnight, however, equipment may be left in the venue if the hirer has a booking for the following day by arrangement with Hall Management
Smoking is prohibited in, and within 5 metres of Council venues, except for designated smoking areas
The use of open flames including but not limited to candles, lanterns or smoke machines is prohibited
Decorative items such as glitter, rice, sand or confetti is not permitted
Decorations must not be affixed in any way that may cause damage; this includes, but is not limited to sticky tape, pins or tacks
Animals, with the exception of assistance animals, are not permitted in council venues without prior approval.

Venue inspections

Hall Management may provide prospective hirers the opportunity to view the hall prior to booking. Inspections are by appointment only and depend upon the hall manager and venue availability.
