Mount Glorious Community Hall sits on 6 hectares of lush rainforest at the top of the mountain. You can hire the whole hall or it can be divided into two meeting rooms and hired separately.

This brand new facility features wood-look vinyl flooring and a commercial kitchen. Its verandah opens onto the village green and children’s playground. The venue is ideal for classes, meetings, work functions and private events.

Hall hire for this venue is a self-service model. All hirers are responsible for set up, pack down and cleaning of the venue before the end of your hire period.

Meeting room hire

The hall has an operable wall that breaks it up into two separate meeting rooms. You can hire these individually. Both rooms have access to the kitchen as part of their hire.

Meeting Room 1 is on the playground side of the hall. The room has external access to the shared kitchen.

Meeting Room 2 has internal access to the shared kitchen with a servery. A small, covered area opens onto the village green, providing a break-out space for meetings.

Book Meeting Room 2 if you want to hire the kitchen space only. The kitchen will still need to be shared with hirers of Meeting Room 1. If you want exclusive use of the kitchen, hire the full venue.

Capacity

  • The hall has a capacity of 90 people.
  • Meeting Room 1 capacity is 35 people.
  • Meeting Room 2 capacity is 50 people.

Bookings

Mt Glorious Community Hall is managed by the Mt Glorious Community Association on behalf of Council.

Regular hire is available at this facility. A regular hirer is an individual or organisation that has bookings on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis.

Booking requests are required at least 5 days prior to the requested hire date.

Management may charge a refundable security bond for some activities to cover potential damage to the facility during hire.

  • 15 folding rectangular tables on trolleys (1830 mm x 760 mm)
  • 90 folding chairs.

Meeting Room 1 inclusions:

  • 7 folding Tables
  • 35 folding chairs.

Meeting Room 2 inclusions:

  • 8 folding tables
  • 50 folding chairs.

Kitchen inclusions:

  • servery
  • crockery and cutlery for up to 90 people
  • instant boiling water
  • fridge
  • urn
  • microwave oven
  • sink
  • commercial gas oven and stove
  • commercial dishwasher.

Note: No cooking utensils, pots, pans, serving equipment, dishwashing liquid, washcloths or tea towels are provided.

Restrictions on hire

  • All music/noise must cease at midnight.
  • All persons must vacate the venue by midnight.
  • Hirers are not permitted to sleep in the venue overnight.
  • Equipment may only be left in the venue with prior arrangement with the hall manager and if it will not impact other hirers.
  • Smoking is prohibited in, and within 4 meters of Council venues, except in designated smoking areas.
  • The use of open flames including but not limited to candles, lanterns or smoke machines is prohibited.
  • Decorative items such as glitter, rice, sand or confetti is not permitted.
  • Decorations must not be affixed to walls or floors in any way  that may cause damage; this includes, but is not limited to sticky tape, pins or tacs.
  • Animals, with the exception of assistance animals, are not permitted in council venues without prior approval.
  • For community events/activities using the hall grounds a permit may be required.

Venue inspections

Hall Management may provide prospective hirers the opportunity to view the hall prior to booking. Inspections are by appointment only and depend upon the availability of the venue.
