Pineapple Break Mountain Bike Track
Pineapple Break is an unlawfully constructed mountain bike track in Clear Mountain. This track is not part of the trails network that is managed by City of Moreton Bay or Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service.
Use of this trail is not permitted for mountain biking and Council advises residents and visitors to keep to approved tracks. Choosing to enter this trail is at your own risk.
This area consists of obstacles and features that were not built lawfully and are not maintained or managed by its landowners. Use of these features could lead to serious injury or death.
This area is also known to have unexploded military munitions on the ground and hidden under the soil, as per the Department of Defence website. It is extremely dangerous to be in this area on bike or on foot. Entry to this area may cause serious injury or death.
Emergency services cannot easily access the terrain on Pineapple Break, in the event of injury or emergency.
Council understands that mountain biking is a great way to stay fit and enjoy the outdoors. That is why we are looking at additional alternate locations for trails in the region and will involve riders in any development plans for alternate downhill sites. We will consider how to include advanced trails for riders in these future plans.
