Buchanan Park

Located next to Burpengary’s Anzac Memorial, Buchanan Park is the perfect spot to unwind and let the kids burn off some energy.

The park is a short walk from local cafes and Burpengary’s shopping precinct. So you can easily grab a coffee or do some shopping after your visit.

The highlight of Buchanan Park is its fantastic playground, featuring areas designed for both little and big kids.

Toddlers can enjoy swings designed just for them, including a tandem swing so parents can swing alongside their little ones. All swings have soft fall matting underneath for safety.

Don’t forget to check out the Find a Word play panel, which adds an interactive element to playtime!

Older kids will love the climbing ropes, slides, and adventure forts. There’s also a seesaw, spinning bucket, and more, all spread throughout the park so kids can play at their own pace.

The playground includes a wheelchair-accessible merry-go-round, making it fun for everyone. The park is easy to navigate with smooth concrete paths leading from the carpark to the play areas. It’s also partially fenced for extra safety while still maintaining an open, relaxed feel.

Dogs are welcome but must remain on leash and be kept 10 metres away from the playground.

While the kids play, parents can relax at the covered picnic tables, start up the nearby barbecue, or simply enjoy the spacious, open park.

With plenty of parking and a toilet block across the road, Buchanan Park is the perfect place to stop, relax, and enjoy family time!
