Scarborough Beach Park

Scarborough Beach park - Wedding area image 1

Scarborough Beach Park's beautiful backdrop of Moreton Island and Moreton Bay is a perfect wedding spot on the peninsular.

With plenty of things to do it is a popular place for families and day visitors to explore the outdoors. Enjoy a barbecue at the park, swim at the beach, and let the kids run, climb and explore the fenced playground.

Kids are spoilt for choice with two themed playgrounds, Railway Place and Pirate Park. The cotton tree forest provides shade and climbing opportunities within the fenced area.

This park promises a great family day with ample picnic facilities and playground equipment.

The playground includes a:

  • basketball half court
  • pirate themed playground
  • railway themed playground
  • jumping pillow
  • chess set.

The park features two accessible parking bays, sealed pathways, wooden ramps, viewing decks and accessible toilets.

Jumping pillow

The jumping pillow at Scarborough Beach Park is open 7 days a week between:

  • October to March - 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • April to September - 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The jumping pillow closes when temperatures are over 35 degrees, in wet weather or if rain has affected the site.

A large chess set is available to hire for free for two hours at a time.

To request the key, you must:

Event bookings

This park has two bookable wedding areas. The larger site is a gently sloping site located at the southern end of the park. This site is 25 metres by 20 metres and has 2 large shady trees overlooking Moreton Bay. The car park entrance is via Kennedy Esplanade.

In the centre of the park is a smaller bookable site under shady cottonwood trees with views of Moreton Bay. This area is 15 metres by 15 metres and can be very busy in peak seasons.
