The Mill parklands

The Mill is a large park near the University of the Sunshine Coast’s (USC) Moreton Bay campus. A vibrant yet relaxing environment with extensive green space, it features a large oval and a playground with accessible play elements and a splash zone.

The parkland has modern facilities including an amphitheatre, picnic shelters, barbecues and toilets.

Kick back and enjoy the fresh air, find a shady nook and dive into a good book or squeeze in some study before your next class!

The oval is ideal for a friendly game of catch or footy, while the children's park offers a safe and fun space for younger visitors to explore. When you're ready to cool off, head over to the water park for a splash.

Thanks to the City’s Pop Up Program, a food truck is often onsite to provide yummy treats and cold drinks. Learn more about the program or book a site.

The open-air amphitheatre and surrounding landscaped spaces are suitable for small to medium-sized community events. Larger events can be held on the oval.

Parking is available, but spaces are limited during peak times.

Event bookings

The park has two bookable event spaces, the oval and the plaza amphitheatre.

Note: The water park and playground areas are not bookable spaces.

The oval

The oval is a large grassed public space with tiered grassed seating, suitable for community events, concerts, and sports. The oval is 113 metres by 93 metres or 8,200 square metres.

Plaza amphitheatre

This area includes tiered amphitheatre grass seating, sheltered seating and a small, grassed area at the centre. This area is suitable for small community events. The bookable grassed area is 17 metres by 30 metres or 500 square metres.
