Transforming the heart of Dayboro

Over time, Dayboro has seen Roderick A Cruice Park transform from a community meeting place to the thriving heart and soul of Dayboro, housing large-scale drawcard events for the district like Dayboro Day.

City of Moreton Bay supports vibrant communities and well-planned places, and we know from Moreton Says, and previous consultations, there is demand for better park facilities in Dayboro.

The upgrades will expand and enhance the existing park in the heart of Dayboro to:

  • give the local community recreational parkland for day-to-day use
  • better accommodate and harmonise the various activities that take place here
  • improve connectivity and safety throughout the park
  • showcase the heritage of Dayboro
  • create a destination that attracts people.

Updated concept design

Between April and May in 2024, we asked for your feedback on the draft concept design for Roderick A Cruice Park. We heard you!

Based on your feedback, we’ve updated the concept design to better reflect what matters to our community.

The concept design focuses on creating a Community Green and Memorial Green, with upgraded park facilities. The existing central area with car park, storage sheds and access from Williams Street are retained for community use.
