Temporary Closure

Due to Tropical Cyclone Alfred, all pools and leisure centres will be closed from Tuesday, 4 March.

The 25-metre pool and outdoor leisure swimming pool will be closed from Wednesday 12 March to Saturday 15 March 2025 for vital works to replace filter media and foot valve. Council apologises for any inconvenience. Refer to the Aquatic facilities for the indoor program pool timetable.

Splash around and have fun at Bribie Island Aquatic Leisure Centre. The centre has three pools to choose from. You can use the 25-metre heated swimming pool for a few laps or hang out in the leisure pool with its beach entry and fun water features that kids will enjoy. The partly shaded playground will also keep them entertained.

The indoor heated pool hosts learn-to-swim classes, therapy, aqua aerobics and more. Check-in with the friendly staff to see what programs are available.

The centre has picnic and barbecue facilities or hang out at the poolside cafe for a coffee and grab-and-go snack.

Aquatic facilities

25-metre heated swimming pool

It ranges in depth from 1.2 metres to 1.8 metres. This pool hosts squad swimming and has a covered grandstand that overlooks the pool with a seating capacity of 200 people.

Outdoor leisure swimming pool

This pool is a large-heated swimming pool, with water features and a whirlpool. The pool has a beach entry and varies in depth up to 1.2 metres.

Indoor heated pool

This pool is used for the learn-to-swim program, therapy, rehabilitation, exercise, relaxation and more. Entry to this area is generally restricted to adults with children under 5 years, venue led programs and group bookings. The pool ranges in depth from 0.8 metres to 1.2 metres.

Accessibility

There is an accessible path of travel from the designated accessible parking spaces to the building entrance.

A unisex accessible toilet is available.

The 25-metre outdoor pool and indoor program pool have ramp access, and a water wheelchair is available.

A manoeuvrable bariatric floor hoist (maximum weight capacity 200 kilograms) is available to assist with transfer from wheelchair to water wheelchair.
