Three examples of handmade metal key chains

Under the guidance of silversmith Jemica Ostrofski, learn how to design and make a key chain using recycled aluminium.

The basic metalsmithing techniques of mark-making will be explored using various hammers, letter stamps, number stamps and other tools. Take home your unique design!

Free. Bookings required. For adults.

What you'll get:

  • Sheet of recycled aluminium.
  • Hardware to finish your key chain.
  • Apron to wear during the workshop.
  • Gift box to store and take home your creation in.

What to bring/wear:

  • Enclosed shoes.
  • No loose items of clothing (as they may get caught in equipment).
  • Hair tied back.
  • Glasses for up close detailed work, if you need them.
  • Imagery of any jewellery ideas you might like to draw inspiration from (examples will be provided).
  • Pen and paper to take notes.
