It's time to redefine dementia. What if it wasn’t all bad, or could teach us valuable lessons about life? In The Gift of a Good Death, Lisa Twigg continues the story of her family's journey with dementia; opening our minds to the possibility of reframing a diagnosis. Free. Bookings required. For adults. Copies of Lisa's books will be available for purchase at the event.
Lisa is an independent social worker who has practised in both inpatient and community mental health settings, sexual assault crisis services, child protection, foster care, and emergency medicine. Lisa's first book, 80 years without dementia: diagnosis doesn't define life, came purely from a desire to create a legacy for her beloved Dad and educate the wider community about the possibility of reframing dementia and reducing fear and stigma around diagnosis.
