I do not know when my items are due back
Sign in to the library catalogue to see a summary of items on your card and when they are due for return.
If you have selected to receive your notices via email, you will receive a reminder 3 days before an item is due.
A reminder notice will also be sent when items are 7 days overdue and a lost notice issued when items are 28 days overdue.

My items are overdue
If you cannot return your items, contact any of our libraries.
An overdue fee is applied to each item when they are more than 14 days overdue.
Replacement costs are applied to items more than 28 days overdue.

Contact any of our libraries as soon as possible so that no-one else can use your card.
Bring ID to your local library to receive a replacement card. Fees may apply.

I want to change my details
You can view and update your personal details, such as current address and contact information, online.
- Sign in and go to the Personal Details on the side menu.
- Make any changes to reflect current, preferred information.
- Remember to enter your current password into the current password section to enable your changes to be saved.
- Click Save.

I want to renew my items
For your convenience, your loans will now automatically renew before their due date. The following items cannot be automatically renewed:
- items that have already been renewed once
- interlibrary loans
- long overdue items
- items with reservations
Auto renewal allows you the convenience of enjoying your library items for longer without the need to renew them yourself. If you wish you may still manually renew your items, unless:
- The item is reserved.
- The item has been renewed before.
- The item is more than 12 days overdue.
- Your card has expired or is otherwise blocked.
The library will send you an email letting you know which items have not been renewed.
To manually renew your loans:
- Sign in and click the loans and renewals tile.
- Renew individual loans by ticking the box beside each item, click the options button at the top and then click renew selections.
- To renew all loans, click renew all.
- Note the new due date for each loan. If an item does not renew, please return it or contact us.
If you have family accounts linked to your account, go back to the dashboard and click the current loans tile under the family account dashboard to renew any loans for family members.

I want to place an inter-library loan or article request
Items not held in our collection may be available on request from libraries outside Moreton Bay. Loan periods, fees and renewal conditions vary. All requests are considered for purchase prior to progressing to interlibrary loan. You will be notified when your item is ready to be picked up. You may have up to 4 interlibrary loans active at any one time, and may submit up to 8 requests, either purchase or interlibrary loan, per month.
We are unable to obtain the following as Inter-library loans:
- material held by Moreton Bay Region Libraries
- material published within the past two years
- reference resources
- local history resources
- music CDs
- DVDs (exception: older non-fiction DVDs)
- entire magazines (we can request articles)
Requests may be placed for copies of magazine and journal articles as well as chapters from reference and local history materials within copyright regulations.
To place an Inter-library loan request:
- From the catalogue homepage, select request an item from the My Library Menu on the side.
- If prompted, sign in using your library card number and PIN.
- Select Borrow from another Library and the fee you are prepared to pay.
- Enter as much information as you can about the item you require. Article requests must include the title of the article, journal title and page numbers.
- Click Place Request
- Click Continue.
We will contact you within 7 days if the item is not purchased or an Interlibrary loan is unable to be progressed.
Interlibrary loan items may be renewed once only, at the discretion of the lending library, and must be returned by the due date.
If you wish to request a title you have borrowed on interlibrary loan again you may do so 8 weeks after returning the item.

I want to suggest a title to be added to Moreton Bay Region Libraries
If you can’t find the item you are looking for in our catalogue and you think it would be useful for the Library to own a copy, you can suggest a purchase. You may have up to 4 purchase requests active at any one time, and may submit up to 8 requests, either purchase or interlibrary loan, per month.
Whilst we value suggestions, we do not purchase every item suggested, the Library service will consider items for purchase that:
- are available for purchase from our Library suppliers
- are suitable for a public library
- have been published in the last 3 years
- are DVD titles available in Australia and were originally released om the past 5 years.
Items suggested outside these guidelines may be considered for Inter-library loan.
To suggest an item for purchase:
- From the catalogue homepage, select request an item from the my account menu on the side.
- If prompted, Sign in using your library card number and PIN or password.
- Enter as much information as you can about the item.
- Click Place Request.
- Click Continue to proceed with your request.
The item will be reserved for you if purchased. An interlibrary loan may be progressed for you if the item is not purchased. We will notify you when the item is ready to be picked up. You can track or cancel your request by signing into My Account.
We will contact you within 7 days if the item is not purchased or an interlibrary loan is unable to be progressed.
You may be interested to set up an Alert profile and receive email notification when new titles of interest are added to our catalogue. Reservations can be easily made from the email notification. An Alert profile can be created in your Library account.

I want to check on my inter-library loan or suggestion to purchase
To view a request:
Sign in and select the Requests tile and you will see a list of requested items. If purchased, the item will be reserved for you, and will appear as a Reservation instead of a Request. We will notify you when the item is ready to be picked up. You can track or cancel your request by signing into My Account.

I want to reserve an item
You can reserve items that are currently out on loan or available at another Moreton Bay Region library. As you browse through the records retrieved by your search, you can place a reservation for individual titles or for a set of titles from the catalogue search results page:
- Search for the item, series or author you are looking for.
- Tick the box in the orange bar above the item images you want to reserve, then click the Options menu at the top of the search results list and select Reserve Selections. Or reserve individual items by clicking on the hamburger menu to the right of the item, then select Place Reservation.
- If prompted to Sign in, enter your library card number and password or PIN.
- Select your preferred Pickup Location.
- Setting a "Suspend until" date for your reservation will keep you progressing in the item reservation queue but not complete your reservation request until after the date selected.
- Select an expiry period if desired. Your reservation will be automatically cancelled if not completed by this date.
- Click Place Reservation.
- Click Continue to accept the reservation fee and complete your reservation.
You will be notified when your item is ready to be picked up. Reservations are held for collection for 7 days. Inter-library loans are also held for collection for 7 days.

I want to reserve a magazine
You can reserve items that are currently out on loan or available at another Moreton Bay Region library. To search for and reserve magazines:
- Enter the magazine title in the search box.
- Select Magazines from the Collections drop-down menu and click Search.
- Click on the hamburger menu next to the item you want to reserve.
- Click on browse issues.
- Click the issue that you want from the issues displayed.
- Click Place Reservation.
- If prompted to Sign in, enter your library card number and password or PIN.
- Select your preferred Pickup Location.
- Select an expiry period if desired. Your reservation will be automatically cancelled if not completed by this date.
- Click Place Reservation.
- Click Continue to accept the reservation fee and complete your reservation.
You will be notified when your item is ready to be picked up. Reservations are held for collection for 7 days.

I want to change my reservation
You can change the pickup location and suspend your reservation
- Sign in and go to my account dashboard.
- Click the 'Queued reservations' tile.
- Tick the box next to any reservations you wish to edit, then click the Options menu at the top of the search results list and select Edit selections. Or edit individual items by clicking on the hamburger menu to the right of the item, then select Edit Reservation.
- Adjust the pickup location or add a suspension date, if required.
- Setting a "Suspend until" date for your reservation will keep you progressing in the item reservation queue but not complete your reservation request until after the date selected.

I want to cancel a reservation
You can cancel your current reservations, bookings or requests if they are no longer required.
- Sign in to and go to My account dashboard.
- Click the 'Pending reservations' tile.
- Tick the box next to any items you wish to edit, then click the Options menu at the top of the search results list and select Cancel Selections or Cancel all. Or cancel individual items by clicking on the hamburger menu to the right of the item, then select Cancel Reservation.

I cannot find the title I am looking for
If you can not find what you're looking for, the library will try to help by searching for books and other materials from libraries outside the Moreton Bay Region or by adding items to our libraries' collection.
Books and other items may be suggested for purchase. Items, or copies of articles, from other libraries in Australia may be requested on Inter-library loan.
Whilst we value suggestions, we do not purchase every item suggested, the Library service will consider items for purchase that:

I want to be notified when new items are added to the library collection (alert profile)
Setting up an alert profile means you will get an email notification when our libraries add a new title by your favourite author, or on a topic of interest, or even something new in your favourite collection like DVDs or talking books. From the alert email, you can easily and quickly reserve items. To use alert profiles, you must have an email address included in your membership details.
To add a new alert profile:
- Sign in and select New Alert Profile from the side menu.
- Enter your preferences such as author, collection or subject.
- Multiple collections/materials/locations can be selected using the Ctrl key, - or by clicking multiple options on mobile devices. For all new DVD titles make sure you select DVD, DVDMA15+, DVD R1+ and/or JDVD.
- Click search to test your search. Return to your profile by clicking the Search Form option in the blue breadcrumbs area.
- Adjust your profile if needed and retest.
- Select an alert frequency and an expiry date (optional).
- Name your profile.
- Click Save.
You can edit and delete your profiles by clicking on Account history & Alert profiles in the side menu. Under My account history, select Alert profiles, then click the linked name of the Alert profile you wish to edit or delete. Update or delete as required.

How do I submit a review for a library item?
To add a review to the library catalogue:
- Sign in to your library account.
- Search for the item you wish to review.
- Click the title to view the full catalogue record.
- Click the “Add a review” button in the Reviews section of the item catalogue record.
- Select the number of stars you give the title and add your review. Click Continue.
Your review has now been submitted for approval. Once approved it will appear publicly in the catalogue. Only your first name will appear with the review.

I want to create a printable list of Book Club sets or other items from the Library catalogue
To print a list of Book Club sets or other items from the library catalogue, first create a savedlist, save your items, then download a printable file.
To create a savedlist:
- Sign in to the library catalogue.
- Under Quick links in the right-hand column, select View all savedlists.
- On the left-hand column select Add new savedlist. Name your new list.
- Search for resources. Save to the list individually or in a batch:
- Add items individually by clicking the flag icon on each record.
- Add items in a batch by clicking the check box next to each title you wish to select. Click on Options and select Save selections. This must be done for each page of results.
- Add all results from your search by clicking on Options and selecting Save all. This will save all the results in your search to your list.
To create a list of Book Club Sets:
- Click on Book Club Sets under Quick links in the right hand menu.
- Choose the book club set you wish to print and click Show All, or, to view all Book Club Sets, click Search on the Search Book Club Sets search box.
- Click on Options on the search results and choose Save all.
Download a printable list:
- Click on your username at the top of the screen. Select View active savedlist from the dropdown menu
- From Options choose Download savedlist.
- Choose Format: Citation for brief records, or Full for long records in your results.
- Open the downloaded text file and print.

Can I load money onto my library card online?
You can load money onto your library card online to pay for photocopying, printing, computer use or to pay library fees and charges:
- Log on to eKiosk using your library card number and password.
- Click the Add value button.
- Select a pre-set amount radio button or enter a value in the Other Amount edit box.
- Click the Proceed to Payment button. You will be transferred to a secure site to enter your credit card details.
- Enter your credit card details.
- When the payment is successful, you will see a screen saying "Your payment was successful". Library eKiosk will also send you a Payment Receipt email.
- Click OK to go back to your account page. You will see the amount added to your account.
- Optional: Check your email. You will get a payment receipt the moment the funds have been added.

Am I required to pay library charges?
Yes, library charges need to be paid as outlined in the Library Membership Conditions.

How can I view my library fees or charges?
- Sign in to the library catalogue.
- If you owe any library fees they will be displayed on the dashboard as Fees & charges.
- Click on the Fees & charges tile to see a list of all accrued fees or charges.
- Select Pay fees & charges from the left menu to proceed to eKiosk to pay online or pay in person in any branch the next time you visit.

How do I pay my library fees or charges?
You can pay library fees or charges at any branch. You can also pay using the Kiosk machine in branches, or online through eKiosk using your library card number and account password.
To pay library fees or charges online using the eKiosk website:
- Log on to eKiosk using your library card number and account password.
- If you have any library fees or charges, a pop up notification will appear alerting you. Select Yes to pay.
- Select payment method, choosing either funds already loaded to the card or credit card.
- Click Select all. Click pay. Click Ok to confirm.
- You will be transferred to a secure site to enter your credit card details.
- Enter your credit card details.
- When the payment has been processed you will receive a receipt on screen. Click Print Preview to print the receipt, or Continue to return to the eKiosk home page.

Why do I have charges on my account when Libraries no longer charge overdue or reservation fees?
While Moreton Bay Region Libraries no longer charge overdue or reservation fees, you may accrue charges if you have:
- lost or damaged an item
- requested a replacement library card
- inter library loan fees.

How does Moreton Bay Region Libraries select and manage its collections?
Moreton Bay Region Libraries aim to provide a wide range of items, both physical and digital, to cater to the diverse range of customer identities, needs and views represented in our community.
Our collections are guided by relevant legislation including the Australian Classification Board’s guidelines and the Australian Library and Information Association’s policy statements on free access to information. Materials will not be rejected on moral, political, racial, or religious grounds if they otherwise meet selection criteria and are not prohibited by law.
Parents, guardians or caregivers of children under the age of 18 should provide supervision in the selection of appropriate materials and are responsible for their reading and viewing activities. Individuals, parents and caregivers are encouraged to choose books which align to their own family values and beliefs.

- how the collection is evaluated and managed
- collection types and their audience.

Does the library accept donated items?
Moreton Bay Region Libraries accepts donations of print materials published in the last 12 months and in as new condition, however the library reserves the right to decline or redistribute donations that do not meet the selection criteria. Donated items become the property of the library and items unsuitable for the collection are disposed of by any means considered appropriate by the library.
Donations of audio-visual materials and magazines are not accepted.
The Library Service will not accept donations where the donor places conditions on the use of the item(s).
