The Dayboro Meeting Hub is a renovated heritage-listed facility located in the heart of Dayboro. It has 2 meeting rooms and an office space with shared kitchen facilities to choose from.  Close to shops and parks it also features a large, fenced backyard and pathway from the rear street. 

Bookings are available for individual rooms or as part of the entire complex.

Meeting Room2

Meeting Room 2 is approximately 6 metres x 4.4 metres with a floor area of 26 square metres and has access to the front and side veranda. With a carpeted floor this meeting room is a warm inviting space for meetings and classes.

The venue is a self-service model. Before the conclusion of hire, all hirers are responsible for set-up and pack-down. This includes cleaning the venue.  

The facility is available for hire between the hours of 6:00 AM and 12:00 AM (midnight).

Meeting Room 2 has a capacity of 20 people. 

Accessibility

The Dayboro Meeting Hub is accessible by wheelchair from the rear of the building via the lift. Street parking is available with two accessible parking bays located at the back of the building near the main entrance. The internal toilets are also wheelchair accessible with a designated unisex accessible toilet.

Please inspect the venue before booking to ensure the facility meets your accessibility requirements.

Bookings

Regular hire is available at this facility. A regular hirer is an individual or organisation that has bookings on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis.

However, to ensure the hub is available for community use and one-off events, a limit for the number of bookings per week may be applicable.

When booking be mindful of the following:

  • potential hirers must lodge booking requests at least five business days before the requested hire date
  • a minimum of 1-hour hire applies to all meeting room bookings
  • potential hirers can request bookings up to one year in advance
  • Council may charge a refundable security bond to cover potential damage to the facility during hire.

How to book

  1. Check availability and complete the online booking request
  2. Review site induction program and complete registration, note the reference number provided. You will need this number to complete your application.

Meeting Room 2 inclusions:

  • 3 rectangular tables 1830 mm x 760 mm
  • 20 chairs
  • carpet flooring
  • whiteboard
  • air conditioning.

Kitchen inclusions:

  • crockery and cutlery for up to 60 people
  • fridge
  • stove and oven
  • microwave
  • instant hot/cold water.

The kitchen is a shared facility. Cooking utensils, pots, pans, serving equipment, dishwashing liquid, washcloths, or tea towels are not provided.

Restrictions on hire

  • All music/noise must stop at midnight.
  • All persons must vacate the venue by midnight.
  • Hirers are not permitted to sleep in the venue overnight.
  • The hirer may leave equipment in the venue if they have a booking for the following day, or by arrangement with Hall Management.
  • The law prohibits smoking in and within 5 metres of, Council venues and within 10 metres of a playground, except for designated smoking areas.
  • Restrictions prohibit the use of open flames. This includes but not limited to candles, lanterns, and smoke machines.
  • Decorative items such as glitter, rice, rose petals, sand or confetti is not permitted.
  • Affixing decorations in any way that may cause damage is not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to sticky tape, pins, or tacks.
  • Animals except registered assistance and service animals, are not permitted in council venues without Council approval.
  • Community events/activities and weddings using the hub grounds may need a permit. For more information refer to Public place permits.

Venue inspections

Council may provide prospective hirers with one inspection before booking. Inspections are available between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM business days and subject to hall availability.
